Flood Determinations
CenterPoint specializes in hand-mapped flood zone determinations. A flood map specialist manually reviews the FEMA flood map for each property you request, which ensures extraordinary accuracy. Our process is streamlined to the point that our average turnaround time is still just around an hour. We supplement our determination process with community parcel and tax maps, Public Land Survey System maps, structural and descriptive metadata, as well as several public and subscription services providing the latest available aerial imagery.

Life of Loan Tracking Service

CenterPoint’s Life of Loan Tracking service guarantees flood zone compliance for your lending institution. We manually review each community map revision against our database, keep your portfolio current and notify you in advance of any changes in flood hazard status of your mortgaged properties.
Census Tract Reporting

A valuable management tool designed to assist your institution in meeting all of it’s regulatory requirements, Census Tract Reporting satisfies the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and is included at no extra fee to each CenterPoint determination. This data is updated regularly and imported directly from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council’s geocoding system.
Letter of Map Change Assistance

Included at no extra fee for CenterPoint clientele is our Letter of Map Change (LOMC) assistance program. Flood Zone Determination Vendors, although approved and authorized by FEMA, do not have the authority to remove the flood insurance requirements from a property that has been identified as being in a 100 year Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) based solely on it’s elevation references.
FEMA has established a procedure to review structures and their relation to existing Special Flood Hazard Boundaries. This review procedure may allow the changing of the flood status and the removal of insurance requirements as applicable. The CenterPoint staff has assisted it’s clients with hundreds of Letters of Map Changes. This is just another customer service feature that sets us apart in the flood zone determination industry.
